Terms & Conditions

AT THE TIME OF BOOKING, YOU MUST AGREE TO HONOUR AND ABIDE BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS LAID DOWN BY RIVER WILD ADVENTURES LTD AND MUST MAKE ALL THE PARTICIPANTS IN YOUR PARTY AWARE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS

River Wild Adventures accept bookings either verbally, by email or online.

Final numbers of participants must be confirmed by telephone or email no later than two weeks prior to the trip. Failure to do this will result in the client being charged for the full number of persons booked.

All cancellations must be advised in writing (email) and signed by the person who originally made the booking with River Wild Adventures.

Cancellations are processed from the date River Wild Adventures receives the written (email) confirmation of cancellation. Cancellations will not be processed through verbal communication alone.

Cancellations incur the following charges:

River Wild Adventures work to a strict time schedule and late arrivals will result in session/participation cancellation. You are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to the stated activity start time. River Wild Adventures will not be held liable for cancellation caused by lateness and no refunds will be issued.

River Wild Adventures reserves the right to change the venue or the activity or to postpone or cancel any trip if we feel water levels or weather conditions on the day of the trip could cause safety issues.

If River Wild Adventures cancel an activity, the full deposit will be refunded or a free transfer to an alternative date or activity of the same value (where available) will be offered.

PAYMENT

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total amount is payable at the time of your booking.

The outstanding balance must be payable no later than 14 days prior to your activity.

Bookings are confirmed when River Wild Adventures receives your full payment. A booking confirmation will be sent to the booker’s email address.

Accredited companies may pay on receipt of invoice. All invoices and outstanding balances must be paid no later than 14 days from the date of invoice. River Wild Adventures charge all outstanding accounts at 2.5% interest for every seven days thereafter.

River Wild Adventures reserves the right to make exceptions to the above where instances dictate.

EQUIPMENT

Included in the cost of the activity is all the necessary safety equipment for each activity which have been CE certified, meaning the equipment meets the highest standards in safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. Also included are highly qualified professional guides who will ensure all equipment is maintained, functions to a high standard and is fitted appropriately.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

In the interests of health and safety, intoxicated persons should be left at home.

River Wild Adventures reserve the right to refuse participation to clients that they believe to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and in such circumstances no refunds shall be given. Similarly, if you are prevented from continuing an activity due to the persistent disregard of instructions, or due to you putting yourself or others at risk, no refund shall be given.

For all water activities, all participants must be mentally and physically able, and be comfortable in this environment. A basic level of water confidence is required.

Age, health, and weight restrictions are in place for all River Wild Adventures activities. It is the responsibility of the activity booker to ensure that accurate details of all participants are provided

Pertinent medical conditions or injuries must be declared at the time of booking

MEDICAL

All outdoor activities involve inherent risks, and first aid provision must be part of our risk assessment for the safety of customers and staff. All River Wild Adventures staff are trained in first aid.

Age, health, and weight restrictions are in place for all River Wild Adventures activities. It is the responsibility of the activity booker to ensure that accurate details of all participants are provided.

River Wild Adventures reserve the right to refuse participation to clients who do not meet the specified restrictions and in such circumstances no refunds shall be given.

Pertinent medical conditions or injuries must be declared at the time of booking

River Wild Adventures will not be held liable for any pre-existing medical conditions that are aggravated by activity participation We may be obliged to ask about current symptoms and medical history if we consider it appropriate. This information may need to be shared with activity guides for safety but will otherwise be treated as confidential.

Participants will be asked to sign a risk acceptance form prior to arrival, declaring any physical or mental conditions, illnesses, or allergies. Please include relevant medication / treatment regime. Medical conditions that may pose a problem are pregnancy, skeletal and muscular injuries, heart and respiratory conditions or recent operations. If any of these affect you, please phone for advice – asthma and diabetes do not normally restrict participation. Please bring all medication you require.

If you know or believe yourself to be pregnant, please provide specific approval from your designated medical practitioner that you are safe to participate in your chosen activity. Also state specific concerns in your ability to cope with heights, exposure to cold, sun or water.

All River Wild Adventures activities require a reasonable level of fitness to take part. If we feel you are physically unfit to partake in the trip, where you could cause harm to yourself or others in the group, River Wild Adventures reserve the right to remove you from the trip.

INSURANCE

Even though River Wild Adventures carries full Public Liability Insurance, it is strongly suggested that participants carry their own personal accident policy that covers them for the activity they are undertaking.

It is also recommended that travel insurance should be purchased if you must cancel, postpone, or reschedule your trip for any reason. Please be aware that this is the only way that River Wild Adventures can assist you with compensation for a cancelled activity.

All participants must be made aware by the person booking the trip that all outdoor adventurous activities carry a degree of risk. Even though River Wild Adventures will manage these risks, there is still a chance that participants may fall into cold, turbulent water that is fast flowing or exposed to heights and many other potential hazards associated with our activities. Participants will only be accepted on the understanding that they are aware of these risks and wish to participate of their own free will.

All participants will be asked to read, understand, and sign an Acceptance of Risk form outlining the specific hazards of each activity, this will be completed prior to the activity taking place. Under 18s will have the form signed by a parent or guardian.

MARKETING

River Wild Adventures reserve the right to make alterations to our website and other marketing media details, and any other company documents, before and after any booking has been received and confirmed. Most of these changes will be minor and, in most cases, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity. During your activity River Wild Adventures will (where possible) capture photographs of your activity. By making a booking through River Wild Adventures you accept that these photographs may be used as part of our marketing materials.

PRIVACY POLICY

We do not store customer credit card details.

We do not share customer details and details of those signing up to any of our mailing lists with any 3rd parties.

Any personal information captured via our mailing list sign up forms will only be used for the purpose specified on the marketing materials at the time of sign up.

Those on our mailing list may opt out of receiving marketing emails at any time by emailing us at info@riverwildadventures.com

GIFT VOUCHERS

River Wild Adventures gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase as indicated on the voucher. It is the bearer’s responsibility to ensure the voucher is redeemed and experience completed prior to the voucher expiry date.
